Türkiye Health System
The Republic of Türkiye has made many breakthroughs aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of the healthcare system through a “Health Transformation Program”. As a result, not only public health services, but also private healthcare institutions and organizations have increased in number. In addition, these institutions and organizations have employed experienced and qualified personnel to ensure adequate social and physical infrastructure at global standards in terms of both quality and quantity, and the facilities have been equipped with the necessary design elements. Currently, there are 1,541 hospitals, 305,619 beds, 48,666 intensive care beds in Türkiye, and our health system provides services in 86 specialties with a health workforce of 1,331,001 people. Furthermore, 34 robotic surgical devices, 15 gamma knives and 18 CyberKnife devices, 151 PET/CT devices, and 53 Robotic PTR units are used to deliver healthcare services in the best conditions through the most appropriate treatment procedures. Moreover, Türkiye has also made large investments in health information technologies. As a result, our country is among the countries that use big data and artificial intelligence most effectively. In addition, accountable, transparent, and accessible health services are delivered to ensure greater access to healthcare and data security. Another important contribution of our country to health tourism is the use of its geographical assets in the most effective manner. For instance, thermal tourism is highly developed in our country and delivers services at highest possible standards via experienced teams in fully equipped facilities, which helps promote the history, culture, climate, and unique natural riches of our country.
